Welcome Message

Dear participant

It is with great delight that I wish to invite you to participate at the 4th Construction Management Summit that is to be held from the 23rd up to the 24th of June 2015 at the Midrand Conference Centre in Johannesburg.

This summit happens to be an annual event in the calendar of events of the South African Council for the Project and Construction Management Professions (SACPCMP) and the first such summit was in June 2012.  The summit brings together stakeholder in government, industry practitioners, civil society and academia to assess the needs of the Construction Management profession which regrettably from time immemorial has been marginalised. It therefore provides an ideal platform for all those with a vested interest in this profession to freely exchange ideas, openly discuss issues of common concern, share experiences and come-up with concrete proposals for turnaround strategies to be devised for the advancement, growth and development of this much esteemed profession.

The theme of this 4th Summit is CONSTRUCTING THE FUTURE and in line with this theme, we have planned very informative, engaging and thought provoking presentations on key topics.  This will be by eminent persons both from the private and public sector including academics from leading institutions, senior government officials and statutory bodies who have a direct interest in the Built Environment.  In addition to this, we are also planning for breakaway sessions which would also provide for group interactions that are ideally suited to the presentation topics that will be presented.

I therefore look forward to seeing and welcoming you at the Summit as we greatly value your participation.

Thank you and welcome
