The South African Council for the Project and Construction Management Professions (SACPCMP) will be hosting its annual 7th Construction Management Summit at the Emperors Palace in Gauteng from the 27th to the 28th of June.  The Summit is a well-established event in the SACPCMP calendar of activities having been first held in June 2012 and each year the number of attendees increases. This premier event marks a very significant step in the SACPCMP quest towards growing and developing the Construction Management Profession through amongst others building on the deliberations and findings of previous summit.

The theme of the summit is DRIVING SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT, and this is meant to communicate the pivotal role that the Construction Management profession has in driving sustainability in the Built Environment.  It provides a unique opportunity for practitioners, academics, students, candidates, industry, civil society to meet, discuss, exchange ideas as well as experiences and debate on issues relevant to the Construction Management profession with the purpose of promoting efficiently in the country through the efficient use of resources.  It will also pick up from the previous years summit outcomes to drive the development of the profession as more needs to be done by the profession to promote an integrated approach to the development of infrastructure.

Several relevant presentations by seasoned industry subject matter experts would be planned around this theme to allow for critical and insightful discussions (speaker announcement will follow in due course).  The structure of the summit will follow that of previous events comprising keynote speeches, plenary presentations, breakaway sessions and panel discussions.  Attendance at the summit has steadily increased over the six previous summits and we expect that the 7th Construction Management Summit will be well attended by a wide variety of industry stakeholders.

The summit promises to be an unmissable opportunity and look forward to welcoming you
